Whom do you trust?

View Comments

As the title said so, which is your ideal ISP?
The old, legacy Streamyx...
or the new, wireless P1 Wimax? For Internet users from Malaysia, we are having dilemma on choosing decent Internet Service Provider (ISP) but let me tell you the truth, NONE of them are good ones...
I can included Maxis broadband
and Celcom (Vodaphone inclusive) broadband.
It's true and a FACT.
Can't argue and making sigh sounds about this problem. I don't want to insert words which assault my country but I'm speaking the voice among of the Internet user in Malaysia. Malaysia internet is really terrible. Bad line and bad customer support. I've rectify my ISP, Streamyx for many times about my unstable internet connection.
I'm waving my phone instead of a white flag. Calling '100' of TM customer service is not troublesome but the thing is I need to call them several time due to the same, damn problem. I wrote a strong warning to them before due to their stupid '100'.
"Loser"

Sigh...

I can't change my fate as a Malaysian internet user. Having broken downloads, slow and unstable internet connection and broken internet transactions (especially which deals in money and shopping). Can't describe my feeling right now...

See?
Another broken line...
Hopefully, I can publish this post soon... :X

Wanna be a famous blogger?

View Comments

The best thing of surfing net is you will bump into things you never thought of.

Being famous + blogger looks easy but tough when you make your move. I wanna be like Nicolekiss, Kennysia and other famous bloggers in my nation. Yet, it seems quite hard to become a part-time blogger at the first place. You need to have interesting contents and able to add some nice media especially photos and blend them together to make a descent post.

No matter how hard it is and how long it will take, I won't stop my journey because I want to become like them as well but in MY way. A chemist who blog in term of science, life and entertainment. No one has done that (as I know in Malaysia) but I'm trying to become one of the unique blogger with my own elements...

How am I going to start this step?

Thanks to CaseyLiew's post

Being a blogger is always easy but when comes to be "famous". that's a different story... I learned a few steps to promote my blog not just only among my friends but to the outside world. I might not free to learn all of them but I'm doing it step by step (currently).
"I can get bigger too... :P"

So, sometimes we see other bloggers can do this and that and get famous, you will ask yourself, "If he/she can do that, I can do it too!". But once you get your engine started, you forgot the key: to become loyal to blog in order keep it running from time to time.

My advice for newbies in blogging (and to myself, always):

  1. If you want to blog, blog in your way and constantly update them with contents and don't leave them alone and unattended.
  2. If there is negative feedbacks or comments who hates your blog, just ignore them and keep going.

Nike+

Last Sunday, I had a shopping with my family... (like usual Sundays I have)
My mum and my sister rather look on clothes and women stuffs and I actually don't mind to walk with them, just I hate to wait them and look on things which you are not your kinds.
Can't understand?
For example, you and your girlfriend (it's easier to say in this way in guy side) are shopping and she drops by in the lingerie department and you HAVE to accompany her. Get the feeling? >< One reason because I don't want get a girl now. So, mostly I'll drag my father with me to see other things at different departments. He also don't have the patience and mood like me for the same reason. On the other hand, sometimes I don't like my father when he starts to drag me to his favorite stuffs. Shoes. He like (+ love) shoes. He got 3 or 4 pairs of shoes. Remind you. He rarely use them. They are more likely in their boxes than face the outside world.

During every shopping time, he will ask me to see the shoes he loves. Sport shoes and sneakers. Since 15 Y.O., I stopped buying sport shoes and sneakers because I find them uncomfortable to wear and require troublesome cleaning process. I prefer sandals. Unbranded.

Mostly, I purchase them in pasar malam (night market). I like them because my feet won't get the foot odour (aka stinky smell), my feet will be fresh all the time and sandals require simple cleaning.

This time, my father really forcing me to get a nice sport shoes because he always grumble me wearing the same sandals to everywhere. He said it's unpleasant to see that I do so. When I use my sneakers that I've been using to go to university, he said it's too old.

I get his intention.

"Get a new shoe".

You can see me that I hardly buy apparels for fashion style and sense. All I want is just simplicity and comfortable. So, to stop him from nagging, I choose one and the price ain't cheap.
Introducing, Nike+ Air Citius 2+ MSL.
My foot size is at least 9 with UK measurement. Consider big feet.RM 259 plus 10% discount. This is the second expensive shoe I had after my black leather shoe from Larrie which was around the same price. "Considered design" of course. :P

First, it has an important feature that I want in present plus the future.
Nike+.
What does it stands for?
In every pairs of Nike shoes, if they are with the trademark, it means you can insert a special sport kit called Nike+ sensor. This small kit is inserted into one of your shoe beneath the foot padding. I wonder the kit will get smelly if I use it frequently. Maybe my shoe spray can help (or spoil the device XO).
It serves as a small accelerometer which connect to a receiver device either iPod Nano, iPod Touch or the newest iPod 3GS with the help from iTunes for data synchonization.
If not, Nike has another device call Nike+ Sportband which like a USB drive to become the receiver.
In each movements, the device will record the elapsed time of the workout, the distance traveled, pace, or calories burned by the individual wearing the shoes, and display it on the screen of Nike+ Sportband or broadcast it through the headphones of an iPod.
You can record your performance in your iPod, iPhone and PC and organize them under NikeRunning.com
Not only you can arrange your performance, you can have a virtual trainer who can motivate and train you during exercise and beat up with other members with your performance through given challenges. Make friends while achieve better performance with competition. Best of all, these services are free. No joke! Free of charge :D

I'm a techy guy and I love this great feature.
Another reason to purchase more tech stuffs especially the iPhone 3GS which I dreamed since it was announced. Anyone who is kind-hearted, you can sponsor me for that or just an iPod nano will do. :P.

I planned to get the Nike+ sensor and wristband because I'm not really a fan of iPods. Haven't get to know the price yet but I will.

Second, this shoe is the Air shoe series of Nike which means the shoe is light. It's helping wearer to feel less weight on their feet while doing exercise.
They are brilliant to build the shoe with soft and lesser materials so that the air can go in and out of the shoe. Just a few walks, I feel my feet is not sweating at all.
Plus, I feel a bit taller. Thanks to this shoe by its light, thick rubber baseThirdly, I just found out the real meaning of "Considered Design".This label has three main objectives: Performance, Innovation and Sustainability.

They created a range of products which carry this label has four advantages. These advantages are waste reduction, environmentally friendly materials, solvent used and sustainable innovation. By using less material, the product will contain lesser waste which serves on my shoe series: Air. The materials used are fully recyclable and not harmful to the environment. Harmful solvents such as VOC is eliminated in the product. Lastly, the product will be lost lasting and resist wear and tear.
I'm very conscious about environment since I was small and by buying this shoe, it means I have taken one step further to save the mother nature and I will keep doing it! :)Even though I'm not using for workout, I will use it when I go out for shopping or vacation and monitor my walk and burned calories. Another great idea, huh? :D

There is another reason which I cannot run away.

I can't give excuses to avoid cardio workouts such as jogging and cycling. X(

Happy Birthday...to me!

View Comments

It's been a long time I've dreamed to become 21.
21 to be freedom,
21 to be mature,
and 21 to be adult.

Most of my friends are 20 and 21. For those who are 21, they didn't realize that I'm still far ahead for my birthday. Since I was small, I hate my birthday because it bumped to important dates:- Exams back in schooling period. You know (for Malaysians), we had our exams during October and November because the holidays will be started around mid or end of November.

During my primary school (7-12 age), it's okay when my birthday can be celebrated on that day. My birthday starts to be different when I took my PMR (15 Y.O. Exam qualification in Malaysia), SPM (O-level equivalent) and STPM (A-level equivalent). My birthdate falls on these exam period for sure! You see, can't celebrate because you're revising your notes and ruin your mood on your birthday.
Therefore, one part of my reason which I hate test is I couldn't celebrate my birthday in peace! Argh!!!

*cool down*
*taking a few breath*

Anyway, when I end my schooling period, it's kinda happy that I can celebrate my birthday without hassle (I don't know what word instead of 'hassle' here, maybe disturbance :P). But still missing something...

I can't celebrate my birthday with my friends...
...
Now should I blame my birthdate? X(

It's my fate to have my birthday on 18 November. I don't hate it at all because I kinda like my birthday. My I.C. card look nice because of my number:-

881118-XX-XXXX
See? For everyone who is from Asia (or Asia descendants), the number '8' is a good number which sounds Fatt, 新 (in Chinese word means "Fortune") and the number '1' sounds like Yat means everytime/everyday. Therefore, by reading my birthdate, it consider as everyday with fortune. People like my teacher and friends said I'll be very lucky with the number.

But...

I don't see any fortune. (the definition of fortune here is money la... :P)
Despite of thinking that definition, I change it by thinking what I had in my life.
Good parents.
Good family members.
Good friends in my life.
Good environment for me to grow well.
They all are my fortune.

Talking about how I celebrated my birthday for 21? Actually, I did celebrate my 21 Y.O. ...
Last year March 2008.
He he he...
I'm doing early because I hardly have friends to celebrate my anniversary because I expected that they are going to study aboard in university after May 2008 and so on. This year, the day will be as usual, the celebrate is merely 5 person maximum and no big dinner. There's a small dinner and will report about it soon in my How's My Taste?.

Done talking. Let's the pictures continue my task.
My cake! :P"Happy Birthday, Jee Lip. From Kent & Sis..."I like this cake because...It has juicy cherries...Bits of chocolate chips and little ornaments...and not forgetting the nice fattening cream from Secret Recipe! :)My sister, mother, father, me and sister's boyfriend, Kent. Thank you guys for the celebration!
Love you all...

Miss Kampar...

View Comments

Indeed, I'm missing Kampar now...
Although I'm having long holiday back at my hometown, my heart is thinking about Kampar.
First, the environment is just like my home with mountains and its breeze.
The sunlight is very inviting everyday......despite the global warming, the sunlight is rather scorching! :X
See the sun rays? Nice but very hot!!!
Talking about the heat, I miss my daily exercise:- Cycling. It's the only way that I can going to school and other places such as Tesco. I hope I can drive my car Year 3 because of semester project. Actually, I'm desperate to have a motorcycle or car with me at Kampar. The main purpose to have a vehicle is that I can go back to my home, Ipoh easily every Friday without waiting night buses which is quite creepy... :S
She's trying to drift... He he he!
That's my block of apartment. Quite new. For those who want to study at UTAR Kampar, there are a few apartments which are vacant. The rental fee should be around RM 300 - 500 per unit depends who are you dealing with such as house owner and housing agentThis is the kind of weather which I don't like. Probably occuring this few days.Thirdly, I missed my lecture class, tutorial class, lab sessions UTAR campus... I miss my lecturers too and maybe I might not gonna see them because some of them won't teach me anymore. Sigh, really miss them...
Buzzing around the blocks like ants...
Not forgetting my friends from different regions...
This is a small lecture class. The front guy is my previous Functional Biology subject, Mr. Chin. He's still around but he's very cool. Sometimes, he dress formal but very casual like teenager occationally. Don't look down on him because his jean has steel chains... Cool man ;)
He he he... Miss Jensen with his funny acts!

Group of friends like Ke Xin, Chea Lin, Siok San, Chow Yiing, Jiun Yong, Wei Soon (clockwise; they are having presentation by the way) and other close and far friends back in UTAR Kampar.

Just sharing random shots in my Kampar life...
Many people said Kampar is very boring. Yep, it's boring but with friends, you won't feel boredom, instead Kampar have a lot of place to visit.

Taking an opportunity, I would like to give condolences to three unlucky UTAR students who are drowned at Batu Berangkai waterfall at Kampar:- Yew Ghim Chnieh, James Wan Kai Khor and Yew Shy Gin. Although I don't know them, I wish they can rest in peace.
A bientot!
